Brownies Decorated as Pumpkins Recipe!

by Heidi on October 7, 2009

Turn brownies into an adorable Fall Treat…
…decorate them like Pumpkins!

We love these at home & they’re a big hit at parties, too!

What You’ll Need:

  • Brownie Mix {can be homemade or store-bought… I used 1 box of Betty Crocker Brownie Mix}
  • Water, Oil, and Eggs {per brownie mix instructions}
  • 1 Pumpkin-shaped Cookie Cutter
  • Food Coloring: Green and Orange {or Red and Yellow to make Orange}
  • White Frosting {can be homemade or store-bought… I used Betty Crocker Cream Cheese frosting}

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare brownies per instructions in 9×13 pan.
  • Allow brownies to cool.
  • Use pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter to cut out pumpkins from prepared brownies.
  • Use food coloring to make two separate colors… green and orange. If you don’t have orange food coloring, mix in red and yellow until you find the orange color you’re trying to achieve.

Serve… and Enjoy!!

Oh, how cute. I was just thinking about what kind of dessert to take to a potluck dinner this weekend, and this might work. Thanks!

Easier and more fun than coloring icing – use white icing and orange and green colored sugar.

HI! I love your recipe! I follow your blog on facebook. Anyhow my daughter and I did a tad makeover. I used your pumpkin picture and linked it back to you. Thanks so much for the idea!
